=====Upgrading Firmware - Twiddler 4=====

Here are the steps to upgrade your Twiddler 4 firmware:

====Preparing for the Upgrade====
  - Identify which firmware you are running by opening a Notepad app on the host device and pressing [[t4_specialchords|T0F1R]] on the Twiddler. The firmware version will be shown after the "ver=". If you are running an earlier version of the firmware, proceed to the next steps.
  - Download and unzip the latest firmware here: [[twiddler_firmware|Twiddler Firmware]]
  - Rename the bin file to Twiddler.bin 
  - Put the Twiddler to Sleep by pressing [[t4_specialchords|T023]]
  
====Begin the Upgrade====
  - Enter [[T4_specialchords|Bootloader Mode]]. (T014 Touchpad Click)
  - Plug the Twiddler 4 into USB.
  - Copy Twiddler.bin to the Twiddler. 
  - Unplug the USB Cable.
  - Green light will be rapidly blinking while programming. Wait until programming is complete. 

====Complete the Upgrade====
  - Confirm the new firmware is running by opening a notepad on the host device and pressing [[t4_specialchords|T0F1R]] on the Twiddler. The firmware version will be shown after the “ver=”.
  - A quick troubleshooting tip, if you are getting a driver error on your host device after the upgrade,{{ https://tgimages.s3.amazonaws.com/twiddler/wiki/T4_BTDriverError.png }} press [[t4_specialchords|T14F4R]] to Erase Bluetooth Pairs. You will need to re-pair Bluetooth Hosts again.
